Wednesday July 29th
Historical Brewery Architecture & Craft Beer Bus Tour: An optional event with a $69 charge to cover costs of transportation, lunch, and refreshments.
One of the things that makes Philadelphia so special is that many of its historical brewery buildings are still standing. Local breweriana legend Larry Handy has expertly curated a tour that makes the most of past and present. This includes a visit to two craft breweries (Human Robot and Philadelphia Brewing) now housed in the historical brewery buildings of Finkenauer and Weisbrod & Hess.
Tour participants will also get to see legendary former breweries Class & Nachod, Gretz, Ortlieb’s, Esslinger’s, Bergdoll, Poth, the Bergner & Engel stables, Adam Scheidt, and C. Schmidt’s.
A tasty lunch at the popular Yards Brewery is included, and we’ll also visit one of our partner craft breweries, Von C, which is run by descendants of C. Schmidt & Son, once Philadelphia’s leading brewery.
This tour promises to be highly memorable and with a limit of two buses and 110 participants, will sell out quickly.
One bus has already been sold out for our Convention Bus Tour. The second one will sell out, too. If you are thinking of purchasing tickets, you may not want to delay your decision. We only have 110 seats in total. A third bus will NOT be added.
Thursday, July 30:
Brewmaster’s Dinner: An optional event - Gourmet meal with beer pairings: $65
This has become an annual NABA favorite. This year’s dinner – which features four sumptuous courses and a dual entrée of both filet mignon and chicken. These will be thoughtfully paired with four outstanding local beer varieties.
As always, this special event will be a guided by a skilled beer ambassador who has partnered with the local chef to prepare this special duet of food and beer.
An amazing, gourmet meal with specially selected beers can cost $150 per person. But NABA is offering this for just $66 per person, with limited seating available.
We hope you will be one of the lucky ones to sign up for this great culinary experience, which always sells out and is a highlight of our conventions!
