Hello Spring Thaw friends,
We are very sad to inform you that because of the coronavirus outbreak, we have no choice but to cancel Spring Thaw this year. We realize that this is a huge inconvenience and a big disappointment for all of us but we felt that it is the only responsible course of action. We want all of you to be safe and so we are complying with the guidelines and recommendations from health authorities. Pennsylvania governor Tom Wolf announced two days ago that all non-essential businesses and gatherings should be suspended for two weeks. This will likely be extended, but at this point we just don't know how long it could be. Hopefully this will help us to slow the spread of the virus and to let things get back to normal as quickly as possible.
We are asking everyone to call in your room cancellations to the Clarion Hotel at 717-412-1036. Larry and I will be refunding your registration fees, table fees, etc. in the coming weeks.
The most important thing is for you to STAY SAFE! CDC guidelines on how to protect yourself from coronavirus can be found here. Also, the Washington Post has a very informative article here on why it is so important to comply with health guidelines to prevent the exponential spread of the virus. Included is a simulator on how the virus is transmitted.
